kitten season right now
OMG Diane & Lynn, this is unreal. The kitties will not know what to do. That cat litter is the greatest thing ever. I use that in my shop & game room...this is where I have misfits, elderly & special needs & some in my house. We use the saw dust in the cat barn. I have Fed Ex deliver up to my house & keep it stored in my shed & take it to the cat barn a little at a time. If I don't do it this way, it disappears way too quickly. I think Bob just feeds tons out at a time (not smart in this area) and a lot gets wasted and then we do not have anything. I also want our HS to keep bringing food such as it is. I found out it works well this way and Bob will mix this good stuff with what the HS provides. I hope this makes sense to you...the kitties appreciate every morsel and I want them to get it. You are the greatest people in the world and I appreciate everything you do so much. Believe me, I will have this last for a long time with what I buy from my funds...they get a lot of rotisserie chicken as treats & I also cook chicken & rice for them when the weather gets bitter cold. I want them to feel special and with all that you do, we are making that happen! Thank you so much!!!

We have been fortunate of late to be getting the attention of more and more people. We have several people who make monthly donations now. This is SUCH A HELP.....THANK YOU
Our amazing team consists of ..... me and one helper. I decided to care for the cats that show up here because I could not bear to see them hungry, sick and unwanted. I am not a 'rescue' because I am not able to adopt out the cats here. I decided to call myself a 'sanctuary' because I expect that the cats here - and more that I am sure will be dropped off in the future - to live out their lives with me.
Seeing that there was an immediate need to care for the many cats dropped off on my property, I began feeding them.
As the number of cats increased, I began building shelters for them. I was paying for all the food, building materials and vet care from my own pocket. When I noticed that more and more cats were being dropped off here , I could not turn them away. Then Melrose Humane Society found out about my problem, and offered to help. They offered to set up an on-line donation site to let others know about my cats and help me to feed and care for them.
